It's been a while...

The weather has been somewhat more pleasant since the holidays, resulting in there being fewer gloves around for the last few weeks. But I have come up with a few, and I am assured there is more foul weather and snow on the horizon, so I'm prepared for a final flurry to end glove season. Here are the ones I've been stashing (some admittedly since last year, what a slacker!) for now. Enjoy.

New year, old gloves

I have finally (kinda) washed and dried the massive pile of gloves that were too filthy to be recognisable, so here they are! I probably would have done it sooner but they're almost all boring black ones. As they've been piling up for a while I have absolutely no idea where or when they were found. Appalling, I know. Happy New Year!

Happy Christmas Eve!

I absolutely love Christmas, despite the festive guilt over gifts, and the hordes of people getting in my way when I'm trying to buy something completely non-Christmas related and just want to get the hell out of the shops... No, I really do love it. All the shiny tinsel and lights and food and drink. Good times. Despite my best efforts to get all the neccessary shopping done yesterday I did have to venture out today to get a couple of things, and was rewarded for my bravery with a few new gloves. Happy Christmas everyone!

Brain Freeze

Brain freeze brought on by too much work and snow means I have very little in the way of wit or wisdom to share today. People keep dropping their gloves and I keep picking them up. Even if it means spotting them from the bus and going back later to pick them up. That's dedication!

Found by JM, don't know when or where. All four fingers are the same length. Ridiculous.

there's more where that came from!

Seriously, people, you need to be more careful with your belongings! The gloves are positively piling up. Many are in no fit state to be photographed just yet, being either still half frozen or absolutely filthy, but here are some that have dried out sufficiently so far. Forgive me, but I have completely lost track of when, where or by whom they were found.

All four of the above are GB finds, she did tell me where she found them but I was tipsy.

snowed under

So many gloves, so little time! Literally have forgotten when and where most of these were found, apologies. You don't mind if I make it up do you? It's become clear since I began this quest that some of my friends are better glove finders than I am. In fact, I confess I didn't find any of the gloves in this post. One friend in particular seems to have a natural talent, going out to grab a quick lunch and returning with 3 finds only 10 minutes later! She's also found the first PAIR of lost gloves, a very exciting achievement. I am looking forward to the big thaw that seems to finally be starting, which I am sure will reveal all manner of frozen delights. I'll have to make sure I have a ziplock bag with me at all times to transport soggy gloves home in!

A pair! Well done GB!

Another find by the talented GB.

And another! Does this count as two?

London Calling

A trip to London last weekend resulted in several new additions to the glove family. I did feel slightly guilty picking two of them up in tube stations, but what the hell. People should be more careful with their stuff!

Found Vauxhall Station, London, 27 November 2010

Found with the assistance of EB near the Wood residence, Raynes Park, 27 November 2010

Found on the stairs down to Leicester Square station, 27 November 2010

Found by my friend Harry on Buckfast Street, London, 27 November 2010

There are some more recent finds but they are currently drying out and will be up soon!
